At the CAG resource centre we provide information a consumer needs to know on consumer rights, whom to approach if they are faced with a problem, useful legal judgment. The resource centre also has CAG’s publications and reports done over the past 21 years. CAG encourages people to use the materials in our resource centre with due acknowledgment.

CAG Publications

`Managing Bio-medical waste’- a booklet that gives basic information about Bio-medical waste and how to manage it at a hospital level, it aims at informing people about the harmful effects that these wastes can have on people. Published in 2002.

Turn off those burners- Hazards of using burn-disposal technologies for Municipal Solid Waste’, May 2002- a booklet on the hazards of burn based disposal of Municipal Solid Waste and some alternatives.

Demystifying Master Planning’, September 2002- a training manual for Chennai City Municipal Councillors on Master plans and the 74th Constitutional amendment.

'Learning for Life- Reaching out to young consumers, March 2003- a training Manual on Consumer education for teachers.
Maruthuva Kazhiyu  Melanmai ‘ , September 2003 a translated version of the Biomedical Waste Management handbook.
Nugarvore!  Theriyuma Ungalukku?’ November 2003 – a consumer handbook in Tamil

Citizen’s Handbook- The Citizen’s Handbook by easy step-by-step guide for citizens to address typical every day problems such as attending to deficiency in service provided to what does one do when an accident takes place on the road. The objective of this handbook is to inform the citizens on various redressal mechanisms available today on various public utilities and services. The handbook serves as a sign post to finding redressal avenues for problems. It also deals with emerging consumer issues such as e-shopping, tele-marketing etc, October 2005.
