#Obesity has nearly tripled since 1975 (World Health Organization), leading to an alarming rise in diseases such as #Diabetes, #Hypertension, cardiovascular disease and #Cancers. A strong front of pack labelling (FoPL) that warns people of high 'nutrients of concern' is needed urgently. A recent study by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi) backed the 'high-in' style FoPL as the most effecient warning label system. As the FSSAI Publication deliberates on the efficacy of FoPL styles, the results of this study need to be used in inform policy decisions.
