Organized by - PURE EARTH INDIA & Citizen consumer and civic Action Group, the workshop will bring together stakeholders across the aluminium cookware value chain, including manufacturers, quality assurance teams, scrap dealers, distributors, retailers, consumer organisations and CSOs/NGOs. The sessions will focus on understanding BIS standards, sources of lead contamination, safer raw material practices, quality testing, compliance and certification, as well as the role of different stakeholders in ensuring safer cookware reaches consumers.
For consumer organisations in particular, the workshop offers an opportunity to strengthen understanding of BIS requirements and lead-safety concerns in aluminium cookware, and to engage directly with technical experts and other stakeholders involved in production and distribution.
