Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), and support of Salem Consumer Rights Movement organised a consumer awareness programme on telecom services on July 8, 2025, at the School of Allied Health Sciences, Veerapandi, Salem. Mr. Subramani from CAG highlighted TRAI’s key consumer initiatives, grievance redressal mechanisms, and the importance of cyber safety. Mr. B. Senthil Kumar, Lead District Manager, Salem, delivered a special address on digital financial services.

Over 100 student and adult consumers attended an awareness programme on telecom services at the Jairam Arts & Science College on January 29. Conducted by CAG, the programme discussed latest practices and regulations in grievance redressal within the telecom service sector.

Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG) in collaboration with the Social Consumer Rights Movement, Salem and the Tirunelveli District Consumer Awareness Movement conducted media workshops for journalists, journalism students and other media professionals focusing on the benefits and challenges of sustainable transportation in Tamil Nadu at Salem and Tirunelveli. The workshops highlighted the crucial role of media coverage in urban sustainable road infrastructure development.
