ECC Outreach Meeting Report - May 2019

Electricity Consumer Cells (ECCs) have conducted outreach meetings in the month of May at Yethapur (Salem), Katampoondi and Anandal villages (Tiruvannamalai), Pettavaithalai and Muthanpatty villages (Tiruchirappalli), Nandimangalam village (Cuddalore), Karaikalavakkam (Tiruvallur), Nemili town (Vellore), Palayapettai Village (Tirunelveli). 

Mr.Anandan, ECC Advisor, Tiruvannamalai, spoke about the functions of the electricity sector and shared a few examples of electricity problems faced by the people. The objective of the meeting was to educate and create awareness among consumers on ECC functions, energy governance, and solar energy.

Mr.Pachaiyappan, ECC Advisor, Vellore, explained that the Electricity Consumer Cell is a free advisory service on electricity related issues, he explained his role and responsibilities as an ECC Advisor. Further, he listed the common electricity problems in Vellore district and how TANGEDCO officials have helped in solving it. He also encouraged the participants to contact the ECC for further clarifications and suggestions.   

Mr. Prakash, ECC Coordinator, Tiruchirappalli, collected complaints registered during the outreach meetings and concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
