ECC - Cuddalore, conducted intensive outreach meetings to promote ECCs among the public at Killai, Cuddalore District, on February 21, 2018. It was organized by Mr. Ambikapathi (ECC Coordinator) and Mr.S. Balasubramaniyan (ECC Advisor). ECC handbills were distributed in Chidambaram villages of Cuddalore district to promote and create awareness about ECCs. Mr. R. Ambikapathi spoke about the functions of the electricity sector and examples of the problems faced by the people. The objective of the meeting was to educate and create awareness among consumers on functions of the ECC, rules, and regulations governing the sector, problems faced by electricity consumers, and on solar energy.

Mr. G.N. Bharath Ram, Researcher, CAG, briefed the participants about CAG’s work and projects, the objectives and functions of ECC, and the procedure for registering electricity complaints. He further explained about advisory mechanisms available to consumers.
