ECC-Cuddalore conducted intensive outreach meetings to promote ECCs among the public at Muthaiah Nagar (November 11, 2017) and Sivayam (January 12, 2018) of Cuddalore District. It was organized by Mr. Ambikapathi (ECC Coordinator) and Mr.S. Balasubramaniyan (ECC Advisor). ECC handbills were distributed in Sivayam, Kumaratchi, Muthaiah Nagar, and Chidambaram villages of Cuddalore district to promote and create awareness about ECC.

Mr. R. Ambikapathi (ECC Coordinator), Cuddalore, spoke about the functions of the electricity sector and examples of the problems faced by the people. The objective of the meeting was to educate and create awareness among consumers on ECC functions, energy governance, electricity problems, and solar energy.

Mr. G.N. Bharath Ram, Researcher, CAG, briefed the participants about CAG’s work and projects, objectives and functions of ECC, and the procedure for registering electricity complaints. The purpose of the meeting was to explain the procedures for registering electricity complaints and redressal mechanisms. He explained the details of the ECC catalog that include information on forms and procedure for name transfer, the functioning of meters, grievance redressal mechanism, application for new electricity connection, etc.
