Super Credits for Clean Trucks 

Clean trucks get bonus points! 

Under the new draft,  battery-electric and hydrogen trucks earn “super credits.”

This means:

 They count more towards meeting efficiency targets

 Manufacturers get extra incentive to produce & sell them

Result: A faster shift to zero-emission freight in India

Walking safely is not a luxury, it’s your right! The Supreme Court ruled that proper, accessible, and encroachment-free footpaths are protected under Article 21 (Right to Life).

Key highlights of the verdict include:
- Safe and inclusive footpaths are non-negotiable
- Union & State Governments must frame pedestrian-friendly guidelines.

With pedestrians accounting for 20% of road deaths in 5 years (2019-2023), this ruling will go a long way in saving lives.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) hosted 15 powerful events during this one month to spark awareness on waste management and mindful consumption. Some of the events included:

- Live composting demos in schools, colleges & community

- Student visits to Chennai’s Microcomposting Centre & dumpyard

- College-led thrift shops promoting reuse & conscious living

- Puppet shows on waste management in parks, schools & college campuses

India’s 7,500 km coastline and rich marine life are under threat from overfishing, plastic pollution, and rising sea levels. Protecting oceans through sustainable fishing, reducing waste, and restoring marine ecosystems is vital for our future.
