Our research on safe school zones revealed startling findings—air pollution levels spike during school opening and closing hours. The culprit? Heavy traffic congestion from drop-offs and pick-ups, leading to dangerous emission surges right when children are most exposed. At the launch of our Safe School Zones report, Dr. K. Divyalakshmi shared practical recommendations—captured in the slides—to help protect children from the harmful effects of air pollution.
