In documenting the voices of hypertensive patients from our pilot study in Tiruvannamalai district, we found an overwhelming number of respondents to be satisfied with their hypertension healthcare services provided through PHCs and the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam scheme. These services are certainly improving access to healthcare, particularly among the lower sections of the rural community. However, aspects of the programme still need improvement. One of the first cycling tracks, spanning 3.8km, was paved in K K Nagar in 2017. These are currently in poor condition and much of the stretch has been lost to motorists. The project is designed to facilitate consumer and civil society organization involvement in the electricity sector. A media workshop was organised jointly by Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG) and Consumer Rights Movement on 07th July, 2024 at Hotel RK Residency, Salem, Tamil Nadu. The workshop had media personnel from print, electronic, and digital media.

The project is designed to facilitate consumer and civil society organization involvement in the electricity sector. The local electricity forum convenes monthly meetings as a core activity to deliberate and resolve electricity-related issues within the community.
