The Colloquium on Reimagining Climate Communication: Inspiring Action Through Innovation created a dynamic learning platform for students to explore how climate messages can inspire understanding and action. Through sessions on storytelling, digital media, indigenous knowledge, art, culture, and everyday behaviour, the event highlighted ethical, creative, and people-centred approaches to climate communication.
A commemorative program was held at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Salem, on Monday, 24 November 2025 at 10:30 a.m. as part of CAG’s events marking the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. J.M. Boopathi, Founder of the Consumer Rights Movement, who highlighted the importance of road safety awareness and collective responsibility in preventing accidents.
In commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (20.11.2025), an awareness programme was jointly organised by Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) and Shelter Trust at Dr Ambedkar Government Law College.
The event was attended by Dr Kayalvizhi, Principal of Dr Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai, Mr Neelakandan, trainer from Alert NGO, Mr Mohan from CAG, and Mr Selvam, social worker, and Mr Vishwa, volunteer, representing Shelter Trust.
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with Columbans Anglo Indian School, Parrys George Town, Chennai, organised a Rooftop Solar PV awareness workshop on Thursday, November 6, 2025 and Friday , November 7, 2025. The event took place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and was attended by 250 parents from the Surrounding area.

Mr. Swaminadhan was a founder trustee of CAG, offering CAG much needed direction in its initial years. A barrister-at-law and a crown prosecutor, Mr.Swaminadhan was an outstanding lawyer with a capacity for fearless advocacy while respecting the judiciary. Having served as the Advocate General of Tamil Nadu, he knew all too well the nuances related to government functions and continuously came up with recommendations to improve them. He was involved in the Boards of a number of educational institutions including the National Law School at Bangalore.
Mr. S. Guhan was also one of the first trustees of CAG. He retired from the IAS after holding key positions in the State and in the Centre. He was a former Finance Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu. With his knowledge of economics, experience in administration and understanding of the ways of the government, he was an invaluable member of the CAG Board of Trustees. He brought idealism, hope and capacity for action to the organisation, proving age only meant more experience and not a diminution of energy.
Dr. Rao was one of the first trustees of CAG. He served as the first Chairman of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and as the Director General of National Council of Applied Economic Research and also worked with the Institute of Social and Economic Change, Bangalore.
