Capacity Building Programme 1 | Chhattisgarh | March 2024
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with Anmol Foundation organised a one-day capacity-building programme on the project "Accelerating clean energy transition by improving stakeholder participation for electricity governance in India" which was held on 18th March 2024 at Hotel Grand Arjun, Raipur.
Road Safety - High performance vehicles
High performance vehicles need to be handled by experienced, sensible drivers. While a fast bike might seem a great gift for your child, inexperienced drivers can find it challenging to handle the power and speed of such vehicles, increasing the likelihood of accidents. While no parent would actually choose this, don't inadvertently become the reason your child has lost life or limb. It is advisable for young drivers to start with a modest and manageable vehicle to gain experience and develop safe driving habits.
Sustainable Transport - Safer Pedestrianised streets
New York's Open Streets Program has focused on people rather than vehicles. Pedestrianising streets has led to thriving local businesses, safe school commutes, easy and safe mobility for pedestrians and cyclists, and given local communities space for bonding through cultural activities. Other benefits include fewer road injuries and better air quality.

UN Day of Zero Waste 2024
Zero Waste is the only destination we should be aiming for. Whether producers or consumers, we need to take meaningful steps towards zero waste TODAY. We cannot do this without us all working together.
Climate Change - Impact on pregnant women
Climate Change negatively impacts pregnant women, necessitating stronger healthcare infrastructure to safeguard them from heat-related illnesses. Further, establishing gender-sensitive emergency shelters & hotlines in affected areas is crucial.
Consumer Update (January - February 2024)
Consumer Protection is one of CAG's core areas of work and as part of our efforts to educate and inform consumers on various consumer issues and related happenings, including our own activities, we publish "Consumer Update", a bi-monthly e-newsletter.
Road Safety - Young drivers lack experience
Young drivers lack experience and are also more likely to take risks when they are with their friends. Young people can respond to peer pressure because of their need for social recognition, and studies show that this can significantly increase the risks they are willing to take. Parents, until convinced that your child is a safe driver, accompany him on as many journeys as possible.
