Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the residents of Bharathiyar Social Welfare Association & Saraswathi Nagar Welfare Association organized a Rooftop Solar PV Awareness Workshop on Sunday,04 May, 2025, at Saraswathi Nagar,Thiruninravur. The event, held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, saw the participation of 26 residents from Saraswathi Nagar, Thiruninravur.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with Poovulagin Nanbargal organized a Rooftop Solar PV awareness workshop on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Padaippu hall, Kodambakkam. The event, held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, saw the participation of 20 parents from all over Chennai.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with Valluvam Organic Market organised a rooftop solar PV awareness program  on Sunday, May 4, 2025, within the market premises in Tambaram. The event took place from 09:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and was attended by residents from Tambaram and nearby areas. 

Program Overview

CAG has submitted comments to the Secretary of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on the proposed amendments to the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, for improving road safety in India.

Plastic pollution is not just an environmental problem, it shapes how communities live, how economies function, and how stories are told. At 'Connecting the Dots: The Global Plastics Treaty and Media' workshop, early-career journalists and future journalists gained the insight and tools needed to turn complex policy negotiations into narratives that resonate with everyday people, deepen public understanding, and hold power to account on one of the defining environmental issues of our time.

CAG has submitted its concerns regarding the use of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) in food packaging to the Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). In its submission, CAG has urged the authorities to immediately reconsider and suspend the approval of rPET, as an objection to FSSAI's approval of the same.
