The main objective of this meeting was to raise awareness among consumers about solar energy, including subsidy schemes, loan options, and the procedures for installation. The meeting had participants from solar developers, financial institutions, Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Company Limited officials, and media representatives.

Rooftop Solar Awareness Workshop,Vaidyanathan Street, Shenoy Nagar.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) conducted a Rooftop Solar Awareness Workshop at Vaidyanathan Street, Shenoy Nagar on Wednesday , 24 September, from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM. The workshop was attended  by  approximately 20 participants (all living in independent homes) from Shenoy Nagar. 

Workshop Overview

This Detailed Energy Audit Report identifies considerable potential for energy and cost savings at the Ludhua Tea Factory. With thermal energy primarily sourced from Meghalaya coal, energy expenditure constitutes approximately 65% of the factory's made tea production cost. The report details 10 conservation proposals, including 3 Cost Conservation Proposals (CCPs) and 7 Energy Conservation Proposals (ECPs). The cumulative impact of these recommendations is an estimated overall cost reduction of 38%, leading to annual savings of ₹11.9 lakhs.

This Detailed Energy Audit Report for the Leelagarh Tea Factory uncovers significant opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs. Energy expenditure accounts for approximately 65% of the plant's made tea production cost. The audit identifies 11 conservation proposals, comprising 3 Cost Conservation Proposals (CCPs) and 8 Energy Conservation Proposals (ECPs). Collectively, these proposals are projected to achieve an overall cost reduction of 40.8%, generating annual savings of ₹24.8 lakhs.

This comprehensive Detailed Energy Audit Report for the Durgabari Tea Factory uncovers significant opportunities for energy and cost optimization. The factory's energy costs represent approximately 60% of its made tea production cost. The audit identifies 12 conservation proposals, including 5 Cost Conservation Proposals (CCPs) and 7 Energy Conservation Proposals (ECPs). The implementation of these measures is projected to yield an overall cost reduction of 4%, translating to annual savings of ₹14.2 lakhs.

The event took place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and was attended by staff  of SRDS Undu Uraivida Palli and residents from Kattur.

These events creatively conveyed the urgent message of climate change through a variety of artistic expressions, such as music performances, mime acts, flash mobs, and puppetry. The month served as a powerful platform for raising awareness and inspiring action on climate issues.
