Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), Chennai, in collaboration with the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Chattisgarh Chapter and Anmol Foundation, organized a capacity building workshop on “Electricity Saving and Renewable Energy” on 5 September 2024, at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This workshop is part of the initiative to improve traders’ awarness of energy conservation measures and renewable energy sources, thereby accelerating the clean energy transition in India.

The Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the Consumer Rights Movement, Salem organized a Capacity Building Workshop on Clean Energy Transition and Electricity Governance on 5 August 2024, in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. This workshop is part of the initiative to improve stakeholder participation for electricity governance in India, thereby accelerating the clean energy transition.

The Helmet Conundrum: A study by CAG surveying 520 parents and 145 helmet shops in Chennai reveals that only 25% of children wear helmets, with 12% using adult helmets. Shocking findings considering that children are amongst the most vulnerable of road users and the parental instinct is to prioritise safety of their children, even over their own.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) in association with Auroville Consulting (AVC), organised a three-day network meeting and visit to Auroville. Between August 21 and 23, 2024,  participants from different states of India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Tripura) who partner with CAG on the project “Accelerating clean energy transition in India” had the opportunity to share experiences.
