Plastic pollution is not just an environmental problem, it shapes how communities live, how economies function, and how stories are told. At 'Connecting the Dots: The Global Plastics Treaty and Media' workshop, early-career journalists and future journalists gained the insight and tools needed to turn complex policy negotiations into narratives that resonate with everyday people, deepen public understanding, and hold power to account on one of the defining environmental issues of our time.

CAG has submitted its concerns regarding the use of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) in food packaging to the Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). In its submission, CAG has urged the authorities to immediately reconsider and suspend the approval of rPET, as an objection to FSSAI's approval of the same.

Plastic, Policies and People brings grassroots voices into the global conversation on plastic pollution. This report captures insights from waste workers, youth, RWAs, and MSMEs across four cities, highlighting their expectations, concerns, and priorities for the Global Plastics Treaty. It underscores the need for an inclusive, just, and accountable treaty that reflects the lived realities of those most impacted. Through vivid documentation and powerful narratives, the report offers a bottom-up perspective on what a truly transformative plastics treaty must look like.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the residents of VGP Seethapathy Nagar Welfare Association organized a Rooftop Solar PV Awareness Workshop on Sunday,13 April, 2025, at a resident’s home.  The event, held from 4:30PM to 6:30 PM, saw the participation of 12 residents from VGP Seethapathy Nagar, Velachery.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) and ASAR Social Impact Advisors, in collaboration with the P.K Residents Welfare Association, Thoraipakkam organised a rooftop solar PV awareness workshop on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Kumaran Kudil, Thoraipakkam. The event was held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and was attended by 30 residents from Kumaran Kudil and Parthasarathy Nagar areas of Thoraipakkam.
