We just launched our Safe School Zones Study that focused on 3 school zones in Chennai 

With the help of children & parents, we looked at :
 How safe kids feel on the road
 If roads & crossings support walking/cycling
 What the air is like around schools

The results? There’s a lot of work to be done to make school commutes safer & healthier, that we'll share over the next few weeks. 

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) organised an event titled ‘Multi-stakeholder Discussion on Rooftop Solar PV Systems in the Retail Market’ on August 14th, 2025. The aim of the event was to make rooftop solar accessible and attractive to a wide range of consumers, with a focus on influencing the retail sector — a critical part of the economy where rooftop solar adoption could have a positive impact. 

This #MadrasDay, Chennai celebrates its heritage while shaping a resilient future. By initiatives like including #ClimateChange curriculum & eco-clubs in schools, Climate Action Month & green restoration efforts, the city is nurturing #ClimateLiteracy & inspiring young changemakers.

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), Asar Social Impact Advisors (Asar) and Poovulagin Nanbargal, organised a workshop on June 21, 2025 at Hotel Hablis, Chennai, for representatives of financial institutions, solar energy developers and consumers. The workshop was conducted as part of the project on Tamil Nadu Leadership in Energy Transition, with CAG, Asar and  Poovulagin Nanbargal working collaboratively.

India’s installed power capacity hit 476 GW in 2025, with 49% from non-fossil sources. SDG 7 promotes clean, affordable energy for all. From using solar panels to switching off idle appliances, let us switch to renewables and energy-efficient habits for a brighter tomorrow. #Act4SDGs
