CAG submitted comments and suggestions on the petition by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) for determination of tariff (T.P.No.1 of 2022), to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC).
CAG wrote a letter to the Minster of Transport, Tamil Nadu appreciating the government's G.O for increasing the penalties for several violations as per the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019.

Following an investigation by Consumers International that personal data is being used in a non-transparent way by dating app Tinder to set the prices that consumers pay for services, CAG wrote to the Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, asking that this be looked into.
CAG represented the study to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and suggested regulating this sector. It also suggested the government consider including this to the draft E-commerce Amendment Rules.
CAG wrote asking that the midday meal scheme be supplied to families even over the lockdown period when schools are not functionning.
Ever since the lockdown was announced in March 2020 in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, there have been media reports of several accidents of vehicles transporting migrant workers across the country. With roads being relatively free during the lock down, people tend to drive fast, and post lock down, we can expect a definite surge in accidents as many people will be on the roads and will tend to drive fast. Vulnerable road users may be the worst affected.
The Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Notification 2020, was uploaded in the MoEFCC Website on March 12, 2020, with a view to receive public comments within 60 days. In this letter CAG requests the MoEFCC to withdraw the draft from public domain in light of the country-wide lockdown to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus Covid 19.
The file contains the letter to Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and Chief Secretary (GoTN) about irregularities and suspected “match-fixing” in appointment of Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board. The letter requests apex bodies to strike down this notification, and issue a fresh notification excluding the problematic criteria.
TANGEDCO has requested the Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation, for funding thermal power projects of a combined capacity up to 5,300 MW, and hydro power projects to the tune of 500 MW. To fund these projects, both funding organisations have asked for guarantees from Government of Tamil Nadu.
