In previous editions of the blog, competition law and its implementation in India was discussed in detail. With the economy developing at a rate faster than has ever been witnessed before, competition law has had to evolve quickly by adapting to these changes.

In the previous edition of this article, we explored the concept of greenwashing, looking at  consumer impact in particular. This will  explore some of the tangible steps like formulating frameworks to protect consumers from greenwashing strategies, and how countries can tackle  this issue at a global level. We will also look at how Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) is evolving to meet these new found challenges. 

A recent survey  found that 66% of  consumers  prefer to purchase eco-friendly products. Consumers are now more environmentally conscious and their preferences have shifted to reflect this.

In the previous edition of this blog, we discussed the basics of competition law. We also touched on the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and their role as the  regulator of competition.

Tamil Nadu passed its latest tariff order on 9th September, 2022. It is important that consumers understand this order, both to check their bills and to make required changes in their usage of devices/ selection of devices.
