This #WorldHealthDay2023, a message about why front of pack labels can save lives. As an epidemic of non communicable diseases sweep across the country, fuelled by unhealthy diets (among other reasons), we need labels that warn us of what we're actually consuming. Highly processed foods are high in sugar, salt and fat - and all of these ingredients are implicated in our rising deaths from preventable diseases.
Global institutions are finally acknowledging the impacts of climate change with CO2 levels being the highest ever in hundreds of thousands of years. This edition of St(o)ppwatch brings you news on just transition, a new form of reusable energy, the economic toll of climate change and much more!
Consumer Protection is one of CAG's core areas of work and as part of our efforts to educate and inform consumers on various consumer issues and related happenings, including our own activities, we publish "Consumer Update", a bi-monthly e-newsletter.
