This Impact Assessment Report highlights how the pilot phase of 'FOCUS' - the climate change curriculum textbook developed by CAG - was introduced in select schools in Chennai. It measures project outcomes, analysing positive shifts in both students and teachers. The report provides concrete evidence of heightened student awareness, engagement, and empowerment, as well as innovative teaching methods and renewed enthusiasm among educators.

In light of the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives’ (GAIA) Zero Waste Month observed in January, Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) in collaboration with Justice Basheer Ahmed Syed (JBAS) College, Chennai conducted an event  ‘Zero Waste Beginnings’. The event was aimed at college students, to help build an awareness of zero waste lifestyles and understand the overwhelming menace of solid waste, especially plastic waste.

CAG’s PLASTIC BRAND AUDIT 2022

The results of CAG's 2022 plastic brand audit are in! Find out who all have received the dubious distinction of making it to the Top 10! The brand audit is a citizen-science initiative anchored by #BreakFreeFromPlastic where plastic waste is gathered and audited to reveal those brands and manufacturers whose plastic packaging we found the most of.

Road Safety Week 2023 (January 11 - 17) is a national event declared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to emphasise the need for  proactively employed road safety measures, to reduce road crash risks and fatalities. To mark the week, Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) in collaboration with the Greater Chennai Traffic Police and the Citizen Consumer Club of Patrician College of Arts and Science, organised an event targeting the budding young drivers of the state emphasizing the need for safe, and responsible road behaviour.
