B. Kirubakaran

CAG

Kirubakaran supports initiatives that advance the clean energy transition at the grassroots level. He works closely with an accredited energy auditor to conduct energy audits of government buildings and public utilities, including data collection, analysis, and report preparation. His role also involves promoting awareness of electricity conservation and rooftop solar adoption among local communities, helping citizens understand and benefit from sustainable energy solutions. His combined experience in research, teaching, and community engagement enables him to bridge technical knowledge with practical action in the clean energy sector.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering, both from Anna University. Prior to joining CAG, Kirubakaran spent six years as a lecturer at engineering colleges, where he developed strong technical expertise and mentoring skills.

1st Round Table Discussion on Electricity Sector In Telangana

Citizen consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the People’s Monitoring Group on Electricity Regulation, organised a one-day capacity-building programme as part of the project  "Accelerating Clean Energy Transition by Improving Stakeholder Participation for Electricity Governance in India" held on 23rd March 2024 at Press Club, Somajiguda, Hyderabad. The meeting brought together stakeholders who are part of the People’s Monitoring Group on Electricity Regulation.
