World Families' Day 2024

Author

World Families' Day is a great time to remember that our steps towards sustainability and its effects on the environment will be amplified when we work together as families. Teach your kids to cycle, and take them out often on cycling trips. This helps them become independent and safe road users, inculcates healthy habits and internalises sustainable practices early on. Plan to use public transport, and involve your children in these plans. Teach them to not look down on people who cycle, walk or take the bus.

Sustainable Transport - Ultra Low Emission Zone in London

Author

Vehicular pollution remains a prominent contributor to #AirPollution in urban areas. To reduce emissions, London has introduced a charge for vehicles that do not meet low emission standards in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). If you drive within ULEZ, you will incur a daily fee of £12.50 if your vehicle does not meet the low emission standard. These policy adjustments are examples of steps we can take to protect the environment.
