Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), Asar Social Impact Advisors (Asar) and Poovulagin Nanbargal, organised a workshop on June 21, 2025 at Hotel Hablis, Chennai, for representatives of financial institutions, solar energy developers and consumers. The workshop was conducted as part of the project on Tamil Nadu Leadership in Energy Transition, with CAG, Asar and Poovulagin Nanbargal working collaboratively.
Meet “Superheroes on the Move”, a vibrant, colourful comic book that takes children on an adventurous journey into the world of sustainable mobility. This comic book teaches sustainable mobility to children with fun characters and dynamic illustrations, perfect for classrooms, eco clubs, and bedtime reads. This comic is free to download and distribute under the Creative Commons License.

The Safe School Zones toolkit is designed to help schools make school zones safer, healthier, and more accessible. It provides step-by-step guidance on identifying risks, planning interventions, and implementing effective measures through education, enforcement, engineering, and encouragement. By adopting these strategies, we can protect young lives, ease congestion, and promote walking and cycling as safe, sustainable travel choices.
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) conducted a Rooftop Solar Awareness Workshop at Assumption Church Community Ground, Paruthipattu, Avadi on Sunday, 29 June, from 8.30 AM to 10.30 AM. The workshop was attended by approximately 20 householders (all living in independent homes) from Paruthipattu.
Workshop Overview
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), organised a rooftop solar awareness workshop at CSI Arul Church, Madhavaram, Chennai. The workshop was held from 9.30 AM to 11.30 AM on Sunday,13 June. The workshop was attended by 300 people from Madhavaram and surrounding neighbourhoods, with almost all participants residing in individual houses.
CAG conducted a study (July–Sept 2024) across three Chennai schools to identify challenges in school-zone safety. The three schools were selected for being representative of different neighbourhoods in Chennai. Methods included parent surveys, road audits, focus groups with children, and observational studies. The report also proposes actionable measures for developing safer, sustainable transport solutions around schools.
