Electricity Consumer Cell-Tiruvannamalai, in association with Sadayanodai Ilaignar Narpani Mandram, conducted outreach meetings at Thurinjapuram (June 13, 2018) and Konalur (June 14, 2018) villages of Tiruvannamalai district. The meeting for organized by Mr. Rama Perumal, Secretary SINAM, Mr. Ashokan (ECC coordinator), Mr. Anandan (ECC Advisor). The objective of the meeting was to educate consumers on electricity rights, energy governance and to create awareness about ECC.

ECC - Tiruvallur conducted outreach meetings in Sekkadu (March 11, 2018), Gopalpuram (March 24, 2018) and Tiruninravur (April 28, 2018) of Tiruvallur District, to promote ECC among the public. It was organized by Mr. M. Dhanraj (ECC Coordinator), and Mr. Nagarajan (ECC Volunteer). ECC handbills were distributed to the public in the villages of Pattabiram and Tiruninravur to promote and create awareness on ECC. Mr. M. Dhanraj explained the functions and objectives of ECC and described the process of registering electricity complaints.

ECC - Tirunelveli, in association with Tirunelveli District Consumer Rights Protection Sangam, conducted outreach meetings at North Thalayathu (March 28, 2018) and Keela Natham (April 29, 2018) of Tirunelveli District. The objective of the meeting was to educate consumers on the ECC’s functions, energy governance, and electricity problems.

The Electricity Consumer Cell (ECC), Cuddalore, organized a capacity building programme on “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy” on March 28, 2018, at Velangappatu, Cuddalore district. The purpose of the programme was to build consumer awareness on energy conservation and to educate them about energy-efficient devices and renewable energy concepts at the household level. National Social Service (NSS) club members of the Annamalai University participated in the programme.

ECC - Tiruvallur conducted outreach meetings in KK Nagar, Tirutani, Tiruvallur District, to promote ECC among the public on February 20, 2018. It was organized by Mr. M. Dhanraj (ECC Coordinator), and Mr. Nagarajan (ECC Volunteer). ECC handbills were distributed to the public in the villages of KK Nagar of Tirutani district to promote and create awareness on ECC. Mr. M. Dhanraj explained the functions and objectives of ECC and described the process of registering electricity complaints.

ECC - Cuddalore, conducted intensive outreach meetings to promote ECCs among the public at Killai, Cuddalore District, on February 21, 2018. It was organized by Mr. Ambikapathi (ECC Coordinator) and Mr.S. Balasubramaniyan (ECC Advisor). ECC handbills were distributed in Chidambaram villages of Cuddalore district to promote and create awareness about ECCs. Mr. R. Ambikapathi spoke about the functions of the electricity sector and examples of the problems faced by the people.

The Electricity Consumer Cell (ECC), Tirunelveli, organized a capacity building programme on “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy” on January 30, 2018, at Arulmegu Sri Selva Vinayagar Kovil, Kotha Nagar B colony, V.M. Chatram. The purpose of the programme was to build consumer awareness on energy conservation and to educate them about energy-efficient devices and renewable energy concepts at the household level. ECC-Tiruvallur conducted intensive outreach meetings with the help of Madras Metropolitan Consumer Rights and Protection Centre (MMCRPC) in the following places – Puthagram (November 22, 2017), Ikkadu (December 18, 2017), Chedilpakkam (January 03, 2018) and Podatturpet (January 27, 2018) in Tiruvallur District to promote the work of ECCs among the public. The meetings were organized by Mr. M. Selvaraj (General Secretary, MMCRPC), Mr. V. Asokan (ECC Advisor), and Mr. Nagaraj (ECC Co-coordinator). ECC-Cuddalore conducted intensive outreach meetings to promote ECCs among the public at Muthaiah Nagar (November 11, 2017) and Sivayam (January 12, 2018) of Cuddalore District. It was organized by Mr. Ambikapathi (ECC Coordinator) and Mr.S. Balasubramaniyan (ECC Advisor). ECC handbills were distributed in Sivayam, Kumaratchi, Muthaiah Nagar, and Chidambaram villages of Cuddalore district to promote and create awareness about ECC.
