1st seminar on energy efficiency/conservation and renewable energy, Salem

A seminar to disseminate awareness on energy efficiency/conservation and renewable energy to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was conducted by CAG in association with the Consumer Rights Movement and Consumer Voice Foundation on 8th April 2024. Around 45 participants from several MSMEs in and around Salem took part in the event.

Sustainable Transport - Walkable Historic Sites

Motor vehicles were banned from the Old Town in the centre of Prague city to reduce noise pollution and improve residents' quality of life. Thanks to this move, the Old Town continues to be a bustling hub of business and tourism but with less pollution (noise and air) and a safer environment for locals and tourists alike.

Charter of Demands to the RBI

CAG submitted a charter of 13 demands to the RBI - each demand meant to strengthen consumer security and confidence in digital payments. These demands are based on an extensive survey carried out by CAG, aiming to understand the digital transactions landscape, reported areas of concern, and recommendations to improve on these.

Seminar on the Electricity Issues at Tripura

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG), in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Association (CPA), organised a one-day seminar discussing the electricity issues in Tripura, as part of  the project "Accelerating Clean Energy Transition by Improving Stakeholder Participation for Electricity Governance in India". The event was held on 09 March 2024 at Agartala Press Club, Tripura.

Guide them to not drive at times known to be risky - late nights, early mornings, under poor weather conditions. Behaviours around responsible driving need to be promoted through open communication and by modelling good behaviour ourselves.

Sustainable Transport - Safer Pedestrian streets

Bangalore, well-known for its traffic congestion, took the bold move of converting the popular commercial area, Church St, into a pedestrian-friendly zone. The results have belied the popular misconception that banning motor vehicles is a death knell to local businesses - shops have continued to thrive on Church St and shoppers have a safe and enjoyable experience. A win-win for all!
