Local Electricity Forum 3&4 | Chhattisgarh | November 2024

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) in association with the Anmol Foundation is working on a project “Accelerating Clean Energy Transition By Improving Stakeholder Participation For Electricity Governance In India” in Chattisgarh. As part of this, Mr.Sanjay Sharma, Director, Anmol Foundation gave a brief introduction about CAG adding that  CAG is working in five Indian states on promoting electricity rights of consumers.

Local Electricity Forum 4 | Tripura | November 2024

Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) in association with the Consumer Protection Association (CPA) is working on a project “Accelerating Clean Energy Transition By Improving Stakeholder Participation For Electricity Governance In India” in Chattisgarh. Under this project, the  4th local electricity forum meeting was conducted on November 07, 2024 at Jagriti Sanskriti Chakraborty, Agartala. A total of 29 participants from rural households, small traders and agricultural consumers participated.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2024- All districts

Road accident deaths in India continue to rise, leading to significant loss of lives and considerable impact on the economy. In 2023 alone, 18,347 road deaths were reported in Tamil Nadu. Beyond loss of life, road accidents impose significant economic burdens on victims and their families, including medical costs and lost productivity.  These challenges are particularly acute for low- and middle-income families.

Chennai World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, 2024

The United Nations established the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR) in 2005, designating the third Sunday of November each year as a day to honour those killed or injured on the roads, along with their families, friends, and communities. Given the alarming rate of road crashes in India, this observance is particularly significant for Indian road users. With the right measures, many of these tragic incidents could have been prevented and this day serves as a reminder for collective responsibility in creating safer roads.

The study examines responses from 25 doctors from a cross section of specialties, looking at diagnoses protocols, patient compliance, reported affordability of treatment etc.

Energy Club Sessions at Chennai High School, Goyyathope
