Local Electricity Forum - Karnataka
CAG in association with the Consumer Rights, Education and Awareness Trust (CREAT) is working on a project “Accelerating Clean Energy Transition By Improving Stakeholder Participation For Electricity Governance In India” in Karnataka. There are five Electricity Supply Companies (ESCOMS] in Karnataka. To reach out to these five ESCOMS, a core group consisting of representatives from consumer groups, civil society organizations and electricity experts in districts was formed.

Building consumer awareness in the electricity sector - Chhattisgarh
This series of posters was developed as part of our ongoing work in Chhattisgarh to to facilitate consumer and civil society organization involvement in the electricity sector.

Manikandan M
Manikandan is a researcher with the Electricity Governance team. He graduated from Pondicherry University with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Energy Technology. His prior experience include a teaching position as Assistant Professor in engineering in a college affiliated to Anna University; and then as Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for Energy Studies, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, on the "Solar Desalination," project. The project was funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). He is currently pursuing a part-time Ph.D. program at Anna University. His passion lies in utilizing energy solutions to contribute towards the creation of a more sustainable society.

Pedal for progress- A survey of livelihood cyclists in Chennai
CAG's survey in Chennai highlights the everyday challenges faced by livelihood cyclists. Cyclists reported a stark lack of safe cycle paths and parking facilities. Better infrastructure and courteous motorists will go a long way to creating safer spaces for our cyclists.
